Biography: Feng Yun is a Chinese hurdler who was born on February 23rd in 1976. She has represented China in many events around the world and she has won a number of medals.
In the year 1997, Feng Yun represented China in the Universiade which was held in Catania, Italy. This event was organized after the World Championships in Athens, Greece. Though Angela Atede from Nigeria won the hurdles event, Feng Yun gave a commendable performance.
Feng Yun participated in the hurdles competition in the 2002 Asian Games which was held in Busan, South Korea. In this competition, she won the gold medal for China. The runner up of the event was Su Yiping from China, and together, they completed a one-two finish. About a year before the Asian Games, Feng Yun and Su Yiping had competed in the 9th National Championships which was held in Guangzhou, where Feng lost to Su and had to settle for silver. Feng also took part in the 2006 Asian Games which was held in Doha. This time she finished second and took the silver medal, losing to her compatriot from China, Liu Jing.
Other than the Asian Games, Feng also participated in the IAAF World Championships from 1999 to 2005. She was also part of the Chinese athletics team that competed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, but she did not qualify for the finals. Her personal best is 12.85 seconds, which was achieved at the 1999 World Championships in Seville.
