Biography: Wang Yinhang is a Chinese race walker. He was born in China on the 15th of February, 1977. Wang Yinhang has represented the People’s Republic of China in many international race walking events and he has made his country proud on several occasions.

Wang Yinhang participated in the 1998 Asian Games that were held in Bangkok, Thailand, and he performed remarkably well to take the gold medal in the 50 km race. At this point of his career, he was considered one of the best race walkers in Asia. However, he did not achieve very impressive results in worldwide competitions. In the1999 World Championships held in Seville, Spain, Wang did not make the podium, and he finished in 18th place. The following year, he took part in the 2000 Olympic Games that were held in Sydney, Australia. He put up a good performance and finished 13th. In the 2002 Turin World Race Walking Cup that was organized by the IAAF, Wang Yinhang only managed a 16th place finish.

The year 2003 was a turning point for Wang Yinhang’s race walking career when he was found guilty of doping in the 2003 Paris World Championships. He was disqualified from the 50km race and was suspended from international competition for a considerable period of time. His personal best for the 50km walk is 3:44:28, set in Guangzhou.
